Fiona Blakey

Biog

Fiona trained at a City firm Linklaters. Since qualifying she worked as an employment specialist in a media firm Harbottle &  Lewis and following a secondment moved in-house. In-house she has worked for Virgin Atlantic, Marks and Spencer and most recently for Paramount Pictures.

Working in-house has given Fiona the opportunity to develop both commercial awareness, strong working relationships and a good understanding of how a legal function can add practical value to the operation of a business. Fiona gives commercially focused and practical legal advice. This has been recognised by clients who learnt to take advice at the planning stages of projects and worked with Fiona to get the right result for the business and their employees.

Fiona advises on the full range of employment law and has experience of advising in the aviation, retail and film/home entertainment sector. When in private practice she advised both employers and individuals.

Fiona also has great international experience and has dealt with employee issues in Europe, Latin America and Asia. She has links with a number of local counsel as well as having built up her own expertise in these jurisdictions.

Fiona is passionate about giving legally correct, commercially sound and practical advice. She is equally comfortable advising small and medium size businesses, larger corporates and individuals.

Fiona enjoys travelling, reading and playing tennis.
