Halebury’s Janvi Patel wins "Red Hot Women of the Year" award
Halebury was celebrating last night as Founder and Chairwoman Janvi Patel won a prestigious Red Hot Women Award through Red Magazine. Janvi was listed alongside other high profile award winners from the world of business, science, education, media and the arts including Mary Berry CBE ( recipe writer and Judge on the Great British Bake Off) blogger Jack Monroe (“A Girl Named Jack”) and Alice Temperley MBE (fashion designer).
The Red Hot Women of the Year awards celebrate inspirational women who make work ‘work’ for them. Janvi won in the ‘Power Part Time’ category, which celebrates women who achieve great success on a flexible-working basis.
This year’s judges included the new editor of Red Sarah Bailey, Joanna Shields (ex Facebook, Tech City), Susanna Reid (former BBC Breakfast and Strictly Come Dancing), Elisabeth Murdoch (Shine Group) and various others.
Upon receiving her award, Janvi commented: “I am so privileged to be recognised amongst this array of talented and amazing women. We set up Halebury to change an incredibly traditional industry, to make it more efficient and effective. Flexibility was not our driving force, but surprisingly it was what the market was looking for – clients and the lawyers. I would encourage business leaders from start ups to PLCs to consider flexible working. For those who have been given the chance to work flexibly, treat it with respect, show that it can be done and be a benefit to business to pave the way for others.”
